Awkwafina was an American performer and actor who started her career through clever raps that tackled gender and ethnic identities from a a boldly comic perspective. Then she branched out into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was via the trumpet. Then, she started the classical and hip-hop genres. In college, she studied the field of women's studies and journalism. She even spent an hour studying Mandarin during her time in Beijing. Not until after graduation did her focus shift to music. Her song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in 2012. The track was later included in the album debut Yellow Ranger released in 2014. Other viral hits included the queef, a body positive track, and the witty NYC Bitchethe hometown tour for $. The final track was closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was which was published in 2015. Apart from having published a book and a singer, she was also a professional as a performer. Alongside early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered several major roles like Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her debut film, In Fina We Trust.
