Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actress and singer. The actress was born in Huntington Woods and raised there. She is the daughter of Lorelei Frygier and Tom Bell. She was born in the town of Huntington Woods, Michigan, to an Polish mother and a father who is German, English Irish, Scottish as well as Irish. Kristen was able to show a flair for the arts at an early age on stage. When she was in 1992, the actress attended her first audition, and was able to win an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent when she was thirteen, and she was subsequently cast in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. In addition to taking private lessons and acting lessons, she started her career at that time. Bell had an uncredited role in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in musical and drama clubs. Bell was chosen to play the lead role of Dorothy at her school's production of The Wizard of Oz. After graduation Bell moved to New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts and learned about musical theatre. Bell dropped out of her studies in 2001, and took on the part of Becky, a character from Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell made her debut on the credit screen playing the character of Becky Pootie Tang. However the scene she played was removed from the film and she only appears as a credit. Bell made an appearance alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and The Crucible Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
