Garena's Garena first league (GPL) was launched in May 2012. It's a professional online game that spans up to six months and has over 100 games. The inaugural season of GPL features six teams made up of professionals League of Legends players. They are comprised of top players from their respective nations. GPL games are recorded and streamed on the internet with commentary. They are accessible to fans on the official site. Garena Premier League, 2013 will feature two teams each that hail from Taiwan and Vietnam. The total of eight teams is now increased to nine. AHQ, Saigon Fantastic Five, Bangkok Titans, Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Manila Eagles, Taipei Assassins, and Singapore Sentinels are the teams. The stadium opened in November of 2014. Garena E-Sports Stadium which was an esports-specific venue began operations at Neihu District, Taipei. The facility was constructed to facilitate the launch of the League of Legends Masters Series which is the highest-level Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau LoL league that was a spun-off from the GPL. In January of 2015, Garena launched Iron Solari League which is a women's League of Legends tournament in the Philippines. It is played in the second week of every month. It is designed to promote participation among those who are underrepresented, and is available to everyone who defines themselves as a woman. In addition to tournaments that are competitive, Garena also organizes events designed to allow members for offline networking and meeting.
